We are excited that the golf season is here! With the course opening this early in the season, we still have a few winter projects to complete. Tree stumps have been grinded, but we are still waiting for topsoil and sod availability. We will work diligently to complete these tasks in the coming weeks. Likewise, we excavated the area adjacent to the cart path on the #11 Tee box. This area was eroded and had many exposed tree roots, which made for rough conditions on our equipment, as well as on all of our backs. This area will also be soiled and sodded.
We are keeping a close eye on the weather and anticipate an early-season aeration as soon as we can achieve consistency in daytime and nighttime temperatures in the 60s/40s. We will keep you updated on these plans.
Special Note: We are quickly approaching the time frame to apply early-season home lawn fertilizers with crabgrass control to your lawns. Any time over the next two weeks will give you the best chance for success as soil temperatures slowly start to rise.
